भवेदिति महाबुद्धिर्बहुधा तदचिन्तयत् | तस्यासीन्न विषेणेदमुदकं दूषितं यथा
vaiśaṃpāyana uvāca | bhaved iti mahābuddhir bahudhā tad acintayat | tasyāsīn na viṣeṇedam udakaṃ dūṣitaṃ yathā | dharmaputro mahābāhur vilalāpa suvistaram |
وَیشَمپایَن نے کہا— عظیم فہم یُدھشٹھِر نے اس پر بہت سے پہلوؤں سے غور کیا—“یہ کیسے ہوا؟” تحقیق کے بعد وہ اس نتیجے پر پہنچا کہ یہاں کا پانی زہر سے آلودہ نہیں۔ پھر بھی اپنے بھائیوں کو گرے دیکھ کر، مہاباہو دھرم پتر یُدھشٹھِر غم سے بےقرار ہو کر دیر تک نوحہ کرتا رہا—مصیبت کے بیچ سبب سمجھنے اور تمیزِ حق کو تھامے رکھنے کی کوشش کرتے ہوئے۔
