नारदेन गरुडात्मजानां नामकीर्तनम् | Nārada’s Enumeration of Garuḍa’s Descendants
नित्यानुषक्तवैरा हि भ्रातरो देवदानवा: । परपक्षेण सम्बन्धं रोचयिष्याम्यहं कथम्,“यद्यपि देवता और दानव परस्पर भाई ही हैं, तथापि इनमें सदा वैरभाव बना रहता है। ऐसी दशामें मैं शत्रुपक्षके साथ अपनी पुत्रीका सम्बन्ध कैसे पसंद करूँगा?
nityānuṣaktavairā hi bhrātaro devadānavāḥ | parapakṣeṇa sambandhaṃ rocayiṣyāmy ahaṃ katham ||
نارد نے کہا—اگرچہ دیوتا اور دانَو آپس میں بھائی ہیں، تاہم ان کی دشمنی ہمیشہ قائم رہتی ہے۔ ایسی حالت میں میں دشمن کے فریق کے ساتھ اپنی بیٹی کا رشتہ کیسے منظور کر سکتا ہوں؟
