उद्योगपर्व — विदुरनीतिः (Adhyāya 37): आयुःक्षयहेतवः, नीतिसूत्राणि, बलभेदाः, पाण्डव-विग्रहदोषदर्शनम्
।। नासुद्गत् परमं मन्त्र भारताहति वेदितुम्
nāsudgataḥ paramaṁ mantraṁ bhāratāhati veditum
ودُر کہتے ہیں—جو پست خواہشات سے بلند نہیں ہوا وہ اعلیٰ ترین مشورے کو نہیں سمجھ سکتا؛ جنگِ بھارت میں صرف وہی ذہن، جو ضبطِ نفس سے تربیت یافتہ ہو، اس برتر ہدایت کو پا سکتا ہے جو تباہی سے بچا کر دھرم کی راہ دکھاتی ہے۔
