Gālava’s Eastern Ascent with Garuḍa; Counsel on Kāla and Upāya
udyato 'haṃ dvijaśreṣṭha tava darśayituṃ diśaḥ | pṛthivīṃ cākhilāṃ brahman tasmād āroha māṃ dvija ||
The verse highlights readiness to serve and guide a worthy guest: offering assistance (showing the quarters and the whole earth) with respectful address reflects dharmic conduct—helpfulness, hospitality, and honoring spiritual status.
Yuparṇa addresses a Brahmin respectfully and offers to carry him, proposing a journey in which he will be shown all directions and the entire earth; the immediate action is an invitation to mount upon Yuparṇa’s back.
