रूपवान् सुभगो दान्त: सत्यवादी जितेन्द्रिय: । दानमानगृहीतश्न कार्यो भवति वाचक:
rūpavān subhago dāntaḥ satyavādī jitendriyaḥ | dānamānagṛhītaś ca kāryo bhavati vācakaḥ ||
جو خوش رو اور خوش بخت، دانت (خود ضبط)، سچ بولنے والا اور حواس پر قابو رکھنے والا ہو— ایسے عالم کو عطیوں اور عزت کے ساتھ سرفراز کر کے واچک (قاری/راوی) مقرر کرنا چاہیے۔
