Shloka 19

शुचि: शीलान्विताचार: शुक्लवासा जितेन्द्रिय: । संस्कृत: सर्वशास्त्रज्ञ: श्रद्दधानोइनसूयक:

śuciḥ śīlānvita-ācāraḥ śukla-vāsā jitendriyaḥ | saṃskṛtaḥ sarva-śāstra-jñaḥ śraddadhāno 'n-asūyakaḥ ||

وَیشَمپایَن نے کہا— جو باہر اور اندر سے پاکیزہ ہو، نیک خصلت اور درست آچرن والا ہو، صاف سفید لباس پہننے والا ہو، حواس پر قابو رکھنے والا، سنسکاروں سے آراستہ، تمام شاستروں کے جوہر کا جاننے والا، صاحبِ ایمان اور عیب جوئی سے پاک ہو— ایسے عالم مرد کو عطیوں اور عزت کے ذریعے سرفراز کر کے واعظ/قاری (واچک) مقرر کرنا چاہیے، تاکہ دھرم کی حرمت قائم رہے۔
