संरोहत्यकृतप्रज्ञ: सदा येन हि पादपम्‌ | स तमेव ततो हन्ति विषग्रन्थिरिवातुरम्‌

Transliteration

saṁrohati akṛtaprajñaḥ sadā yena hi pādapam | sa tam eva tato hanti viṣagranthir ivāturam ||

Translation

ویاس نے کہا—ناپختہ فہم آدمی جس درخت کے سہارے وہ ہمیشہ جیتا اور پھلتا پھولتا ہے، بعد میں اسی کو خود ہی ضرب لگاتا ہے؛ جیسے جسم میں اُبھری ہوئی زہریلی گلٹی آخرکار اسی جسم کو ہلاک کر دیتی ہے۔
