आपद्धर्मे कोशबलन्यायः | Treasury, Force, and Crisis-Ethics for the King
इह द्रक्ष्यामि त॑ पुत्र द्रक्ष्यामीहेति पार्थिव: । एवमाशाहतो राजा चरन् वनमिदं पुरा
iha drakṣyāmi taṁ putra drakṣyāmīheti pārthivaḥ | evam āśāhato rājā caran vanam idaṁ purā ||
“یہیں میں اُس بیٹے کو دیکھوں گا—یہیں وہ یقیناً نظر آئے گا۔” اسی امید سے بندھا ہوا، زمین کا فرمانروا بادشاہ، کھوئی ہوئی چیز کو پھر پانے کی تڑپ میں، ایک زمانے میں اس جنگل میں بھٹکتا رہا۔
भीष्म उवाच
Hope can be a sustaining force that drives one to continue difficult effort, but it can also bind the mind to expectation; the ethical lesson is to act with perseverance while seeking clarity rather than being consumed by mere anticipation.
A king, yearning to see his son again, repeatedly tells himself that he will surely find him ‘here’ and, propelled by that hope, roams through the forest searching.
