Balarāma’s Pilgrimage Context
एतदिच्छाम्यहं श्रोतुं परं कौतूहलं हि मे । इसके बाद धैर्यवान् असितने उन लोकोंमें रहनेवाले ब्रह्मययाजी सिद्धों और साधु पुरुषोंसे हाथ जोड़कर विनीतभावसे पूछा--“महात्माओ! मैं महातेजस्वी जैगीषव्यको अब देख नहीं रहा हूँ। आप उनका पता बतावें। मैं उनके विषयमें सुनना चाहता हूँ। इसके लिये मेरे मनमें बड़ी उत्कण्ठा है”
etad icchāmy ahaṃ śrotuṃ paraṃ kautūhalaṃ hi me |
وَیشَمپایَن نے کہا—“میں یہ سننا چاہتا ہوں، کیونکہ میرا تجسّس بہت گہرا ہے۔” پھر ثابت قدم اَسِت نے ہاتھ جوڑ کر نہایت انکساری سے اُن عوالم میں بسنے والے برہمیہ یَجْن کرنے والے سِدھوں اور صالح مردوں سے پوچھا—“اے مہاتماؤ! میں اب مہاتجسوی جَیگیشویہ کو نہیں دیکھ رہا۔ مہربانی فرما کر بتائیے وہ کہاں ہیں؟ میں اُن کے بارے میں سننا چاہتا ہوں؛ میرا دل شدید اشتیاق سے بھرا ہے۔”
