अध्याय ९ — दुर्योधनस्य अन्त्यावस्था, विलापः, तथा सौप्तिक-प्रतिवृत्तम्
Duryodhana’s Final Condition, Lamentation, and the Night’s Report
येनाजौ निहता भूमावशेरत पुरा द्विष: । स भूमौ निहतः शेते कुरुराज: परैरयम्,पूर्वकालमें जिनके द्वारा युद्धमें मारे गये शत्रु भूमिपर सोया करते थे, वे ही ये कुरुराज आज शशत्रुओंद्वारा स्वयं मारे जाकर भूमिपर शयन करते हैं
yenājau nihatā bhūmāv aśerata purā dviṣaḥ | sa bhūmau nihataḥ śete kururājaḥ parair ayam ||
جس کے ہاتھوں پہلے جنگ میں دشمن مارے جا کر زمین پر پڑے رہتے تھے، وہی کورو راجا آج دوسروں کے ہاتھوں مارا گیا ہے اور خود زمین پر پڑا ہے۔
