Adhyāya 51: Kṛṣṇa’s Leave-Taking and Departure for Dvārakā (द्वारकागमनानुमति)

वायुदेव उवाच इत्युक्त: स तदा शिष्यो गुरुणा धर्ममुत्तमम्‌ । चकार सर्व कौन्तेय ततो मोक्षमवाप्तवान्‌

vāyudeva uvāca | ity uktaḥ sa tadā śiṣyo guruṇā dharmam uttamam | cakāra sarva kaunteya tato mokṣam avāptavān |

وایودیو نے کہا—اپنے گرو کی ہدایت پا کر اُس شاگرد نے اُس وقت اعلیٰ ترین دھرم کو پوری طرح برتا۔ اس لیے، اے کُنتی کے پُتر، وہ سنسار کے بندھن سے آزاد ہو کر موکش کو پہنچ گیا۔

Educational Q&A

Right instruction must be followed by complete practice: when the disciple fully performs the highest dharma taught by the guru, the fruit is mokṣa—release from saṃsāra’s bondage.

Vāyudeva concludes an exemplum addressed to Arjuna (Kaunteya): after the guru’s counsel, the disciple undertakes the prescribed supreme dharma in its entirety and, as a result, attains liberation.
