गजहा दैत्यहा कालो लोकधाता गुणाकर: । सिंहशार्दूलरूपश्न आर्द्रचर्माम्बरावृत:

Transliteration

gajahā daityahā kālo lokadhātā guṇākaraḥ | siṁhaśārdūlarūpaś ca ārdracarmāmbarāvṛtaḥ ||

Translation

وایو دیو نے کہا—وہ ہاتھی-ہیئت دشمن کا قاتل، دیتیوں کا ہلاک کرنے والا؛ اور وہی کَال (زمانہ/موت) ہے۔ وہ جہانوں کو تھامنے اور پالنے والا، نیک صفات کا خزانہ ہے۔ شیر اور ببر کے روپ دھار کر، وہ ہاتھی-دیَو (گجاسُر) کی ابھی تک تر کھال کو لباس بنا کر اوڑھے رہتا ہے۔
