Anuśāsana-parva 17

लोकपालोडन्‍्तर्तितात्मा प्रसादो हयगर्दभि: । पवित्र च महांश्नैव नियमो नियमाश्रित:

lokapālo ’ntarhitātmā prasādo hayagardabhiḥ | pavitraṃ ca mahāṃś caiva niyamo niyamāśritaḥ ||

وایو نے کہا— وہ جہانوں کا محافظ ہے، پوشیدہ و غیر مرئی صورت میں گردش کرنے والا، ہمیشہ لطف و سکونِ کرم سے لبریز۔ وہ گھوڑوں اور خچّروں سے جتے رتھ پر سوار ہو کر چلتا ہے۔ وہ پاکیزہ اور نہایت قابلِ تعظیم ہے؛ طہارت، قناعت وغیرہ جیسے ضوابط کی پابندی سے وہ حاصل ہوتا ہے، اور انہی ضوابط کا سہارا اور پناہ بھی وہی ہے۔
