व्यजयच्छत्रुसंघांश्व देवानां स्वेन तेजसा । अत्रिणा दह्ामानांस्तान् दृष्टवा देवा महासुरान्
vyajayac chatrusaṅghāṁś ca devānāṁ svena tejasā | atriṇā dahyamānāṁs tān dṛṣṭvā devā mahāsurān |
بھیشم نے کہا— اپنے ہی روحانی تَیج سے اس نے دیوتاؤں کے دشمنوں کے لشکروں کو مغلوب کر دیا۔ اَتری کے تَیج سے اُن عظیم اسوروں کو جلتے دیکھ کر، اَتری کی حفاظت میں محفوظ دیوتاؤں نے بھی اسی وقت اپنا پرَاکرم دکھایا اور اُن دَیتّیوں کو قتل کر ڈالا۔ یوں اَتری نے سورج کو زیادہ درخشاں کیا، دیوتاؤں کو خطرے سے بچایا اور اسوروں کو نیست و نابود کر دیا۔
