वैशम्पायन उवाच यदर्थ शार्कईकानग्निर्न ददाह तथागते । तत्‌ ते सर्व प्रवक्ष्यामि यथाभूतमरिंदम

Transliteration

vaiśampāyana uvāca | yadarthaṃ śārkāikān agnir na dadāha tathāgate | tat te sarvaṃ pravakṣyāmi yathābhūtam ariṃdama ||

Translation

وَیشَمپایَن نے کہا—اے دشمنوں کو دبانے والے! اُس ہولناک آتش زدگی کے واقع ہو جانے پر بھی اگنی دیو نے جس سبب سے شارکائیکوں کو نہ جلایا، اور وہ واقعہ جس طرح پیش آیا—وہ سب میں تمہیں بعینہٖ بیان کرتا ہوں۔ سنو۔
