Draupadī Episode
अयं तिष्ठतु ते विप्र यदीच्छसि महोदधौ । मन्युजोग्निर्दहन्नापो लोका ह्यापोमया: स्मृता:
Aurva uvāca: ayaṁ tiṣṭhatu te vipra yadīcchasi mahodadhau | manyu-jo 'gnir dahann āpo lokā hy āpomayāḥ smṛtāḥ || sarvam etad vasiṣṭhasya viditaṁ vai mahāmune | rakṣasāṁ ca samuccheda eṣa tāta tapasvinām ||
اَورْوَ نے کہا: “اے برہمن! اگر تم چاہو تو یہ غضب سے پیدا ہونے والی آگ پانیوں کو جھلساتی ہوئی مہاسَمُندر میں ٹھہری رہے؛ کیونکہ جہانوں کو پانی ہی سے بنا ہوا یاد کیا گیا ہے۔ اے مہامنی! یہ سب وسِشٹھ کو معلوم ہے۔ اور اے شکتی کے فرزند، راکشسوں کے استیصال کے لیے جو یہ سَتر ہے، اس میں تم محض آلۂ کار بنے ہو؛ پس اس یَجْن-سَتر کو ترک کر دو۔ تمہارا بھلا ہو؛ یہ نشست اب اپنے شایانِ انجام کو پہنچے۔”
