iti stavena deveśaṃ nanāma vṛṣabhadhvajam yaḥ paṭhet sakṛdeveha brahmalokaṃ gamiṣyati
Suta Goswami (narrating the stuti and its fruit to the sages of Naimisharanya)
It states the stotra-phala: even a single heartfelt recitation of Śiva’s praise, aligned with devotion to the Pati (Lord), yields exalted spiritual merit culminating in Brahmaloka.
Śiva is presented as Deveśa (sovereign over the devas) and Vṛṣabhadhvaja (marked by the bull), indicating supreme lordship (Pati) and dharma-stability—one who elevates the pashu (soul) beyond worldly limitation.
Stuti and pāṭha (devotional recitation) as a Shaiva sādhana—an accessible practice that supports inner purification and loosens pāśa (bondage), complementing Linga-pūjā and Pāśupata-oriented discipline.
