Dakṣa-yajña-bhaṅgaḥ — Dadhīci’s Teaching and the Destruction of Dakṣa’s Sacrifice
dakṣa uvāca sarveṣveva hi yajñeṣu na bhāgaḥ parikalpitaḥ / na mantrā bhāryayā sārdhaṃ śaṅkarasyeti nejyate

Indirectly: by showing Dakṣa’s ritualistic pride and exclusion of Śiva, the narrative sets up the Purāṇic correction that the Supreme is not confined to ritual allotments; the highest reality transcends sectarian and sacrificial accounting.
No specific yogic technique is taught in this line; it functions as a narrative contrast—mere ritualism and ego-driven yajña are shown as insufficient, preparing the ground for inner discipline (yoga) and devotion emphasized elsewhere in the Kūrma Purāṇa.
It presents a temporary, story-level sectarian exclusion of Śiva by Dakṣa, which the broader Kūrma Purāṇa later resolves through a synthesis where Śiva is not outside dharma but integral to the same supreme principle honored by Vaiṣṇava theology.
