According to the ācāryas, the demon appeared reddish with blood, like a mountain red with oxide.
It depicts Dvivida collapsing with a split forehead, bleeding and crying out—an intense poetic image showing the decisive defeat of the demonic aggressor by Lord Balarāma.
The comparison emphasizes the sheer force and finality of the blow—Dvivida’s massive body falls like a mountain shattered by the vajra, highlighting the Lord’s irresistible power.
Unchecked violence and arrogance ultimately collapse under the weight of their own consequences; the Bhagavatam encourages aligning with dharma and seeking divine shelter rather than destructive pride.
