The Syamantaka Jewel: Accusation, Recovery, and Kṛṣṇa’s Marriage to Satyabhāmā
ity uktaḥ svāṁ duhitaraṁ kanyāṁ jāmbavatīṁ mudā arhaṇārtham sa maṇinā kṛṣṇāyopajahāra ha
In this verse, Jāmbavān presents the jewel to Śrī Kṛṣṇa as an honor-gift, acknowledging Kṛṣṇa’s supremacy and ending the conflict surrounding the jewel.
After recognizing Kṛṣṇa as the Supreme Lord, Jāmbavān joyfully offered his daughter Jāmbavatī in marriage as a devotional, honorable offering.
Offer one’s best—abilities, resources, and relationships—respectfully and without ego to God and dharma, using gratitude and honor rather than possessiveness as the guiding principle.
