स वेद पुत्रः पितरं स मातरं स सूनुर्भुवत् स भुवत् पुनर्मघः । स द्यामौर्णोदन्तरिक्षं स्वः१ स इदं विश्वमभवत् स आभवत्
sá véd putráḥ pitáraṃ sá mātáraṃ sá sūnúr abhūvat sá abhūvat púnar-maghaḥ | sá dyā́m aurṇod antárikṣaṃ svàḥ sá idáṃ víśvam abhūvat sá ā́bhavat |
He knoweth the father—he the mother; he became the son; he became again the bounteous. He overspread the heaven, the mid-air, and the svàr: he became this All; yea, he came to be.
