प्रथमं सारङ्गे दृष्टे शुभे देशे शुभं वदेत् संवत्सरं मनुष्यस्य अशुभे च शुभं तथा
prathamaṃ sāraṅge dṛṣṭe śubhe deśe śubhaṃ vadet saṃvatsaraṃ manuṣyasya aśubhe ca śubhaṃ tathā
اگر پہلی ہی نظر میں سارنگ شُبھ جگہ پر دکھائی دے تو انسان کے لیے پورے ایک سال تک نیک و مبارک نتیجہ کہنا چاہیے۔ اور اگر وہ اَشُبھ جگہ پر بھی دکھے تو بھی اس خاص شگون میں اسے شُبھ ہی قرار دینا چاہیے۔
