FAQs

It emphasizes performing the sāṃvatsarī (annual) pūjā strictly vidhimat—i.e., according to the authorized ritual procedure—indicating correctness of method as the key practical instruction.

By codifying a time-bound (annual) worship observance and stressing procedural compliance, it shows the text’s dharma-encyclopedia role: preserving standardized pūjā-vidhi alongside its many other domains of knowledge.

The verse frames annual worship as meritorious when completed properly (vidhimat), implying that ritual accuracy supports purification and sustained religious merit across the yearly cycle.
