FAQs

It teaches a śānti-prayoga: using Veda-imbued sacred utterance (vāg/mantra) addressed to Viṣṇu as Vāmana to pacify (praśama) suffering.

It exemplifies the Agni Purana’s practical ritual layer—how Vedic speech and Purāṇic deity-forms are applied as a concrete remedy (pacification) alongside its many other domains (law, polity, medicine, arts).

Invoking Janārdana through Veda-saturated praise is presented as a purificatory act that calms afflictions, supporting inner tranquility and the easing of karmically conditioned distress.
