तस्मिंस्त्रिकेऽहं तमसो महान् स सदोच्यते सर्वविदां प्रधानः । उतस्मादपि क्षेत्रविदूर्जितोऽभूद् बभूव बुद्धिस्तु ततो बभूव ॥ २.७ ॥

tasmiṃstrike’haṃ tamaso mahān sa sadocyate sarvavidāṃ pradhānaḥ | utasmād api kṣetravidūrjito’bhūd babhūva buddhis tu tato babhūva || 2.7 ||

“Sa loob ng tatluhang iyon, Ako’y tinatawag na Mahān, ang Dakila na sumibol mula sa tamas (dilim); tinatawag din Akong Sat, ang Tunay, ang pangunahin sa lahat ng nakaaalam. Mula roon ay lumitaw pa ang kṣetrajña, ang ‘nakaaalam ng larangan,’ na may lakas; at pagkatapos ay nagkaroon ang buddhi.”
