Cosmogony and the Ninefold Creation: Rudra’s Origin and the Prelude to the Sāvitrī–Veda Narrative

ऊर्ध्वस्रोतस्त्रिधा यस्तु सात्त्विको धर्मवर्तनः । ततोऽर्ध्वचारीणो देवाः सर्वगर्भसमुद्भवाः ॥ २.३० ॥

Ūrdhvasrotas tridhā yastu sāttviko dharmavartanaḥ | tato ’rdhvācāriṇo devāḥ sarvagarbhasamudbhavāḥ || 2.30 ||
