The Sanctifying Power of River Confluences: Release from the Preta-State and the Rite of Śravaṇa Dvādaśī with Vāmana Worship

असद्भ्यः प्रतिगृह्णाति नास्तिकेभ्यो विशेषतः ॥ स पापो जायते प्रेत आहारादिविवर्जितः ॥

asadbhyaḥ pratigṛhṇāti nāstikebhyo viśeṣataḥ || sa pāpo jāyate preta āhārādivivarjitaḥ ||

Ang tumatanggap ng kaloob o suporta mula sa masasama—lalo na sa mga di-naniniwala—ay nagiging makasalanan; siya’y muling isisilang bilang preta, salat sa pagkain at iba pang pangangailangan.
