सन्ध्ये द्वे शयने चैव नित्यं मूढः स तिष्ठति ॥ न स देवानुष्यान्श्च पितॄन् पूजयते सदा ॥

sandhye dve śayane caiva nityaṃ mūḍhaḥ sa tiṣṭhati || na sa devānuṣyāṃś ca pitṝn pūjayate sadā ||

“Sa dalawang sandhyā (bukang-liwayway at dapithapon) at maging sa oras ng pagtulog, lagi siyang nananatiling pabaya at nalilito. Hindi niya palagiang iginagalang ang mga diyos, ang mga tao, ni ang mga ninuno.”
