An Exposition on the Causes of Happiness and Suffering

कृत्वा सायाह्निकं कर्म ततः सौख्यतरं नु किम् ॥ देवतातिथिमर्त्यानां त्यक्त्वा चान्नं वसुन्धरे ॥

kṛtvā sāyāhnikaṃ karma tataḥ saukhyataraṃ nu kim || devatātithimartyānāṃ tyaktvā cānnaṃ vasundhare ||

Matapos isagawa ang panggabing ritwal, ano pa ang higit na nakapagpapabuti kaysa rito? At, O Vasundharā, matapos maglaan ng pagkain para sa mga diyos, mga panauhin, at mga tao—ano pa ang higit na kapaki-pakinabang?
