Īśvara (Śiva)
Tirtha: Vṛhaspatīśvara (Prabhāsa-kṣetra)
Type: kshetra
Scene: Priests and devotees pour streams of pañcāmṛta—milk, curd, ghee, honey, sugar-water—over a liṅga, with measured heaps of offerings indicating ‘sahasra-pala’; the scene radiates cleansing light as symbolic chains of debt fall away.
Devotional ritual action, when performed with sincerity, removes deep karmic obligations and purifies one’s life-duty.
Prabhāsakṣetra (Prabhāsa), within the Prabhāsa Khaṇḍa of the Skanda Purāṇa.
A devotional bath (snāna) performed with pañcāmṛta in a prescribed measure (a thousand palas).
