caturthyāṃ śuklapakṣe ca māsi bhādrapade tathā | tatra saṃpūjya deveśaṃ modakairbhojayeddvijān

Translation

Sa ikaapat na araw (Caturthī) ng maliwanag na kalahati ng buwan, sa buwan ng Bhādrapada, dapat sambahin doon ang Panginoon ayon sa wastong ritwal; at pagkatapos ay pakainin ang mga dwija (mga brāhmaṇa) ng mga modaka.
