Narration within Īśvara’s discourse
Tirtha: Durgāditya
Type: kshetra
Listener: Mahādevī (Pārvatī)
Scene: Durgā, momentarily burdened by distress, stands in austere posture facing the rising Sun, offering arghya; her lion waits quietly; the sky glows as her suffering begins to lift.
Even divine beings model dharma: turning to disciplined worship (ārādhanā) as a remedy for duḥkha.
The narrative supports the Durgāditya site in Prabhāsa-kṣetra by explaining its sacred backstory.
Sūrya-ārādhanā (Sun worship) is indicated as the practice associated with removing distress.
