Type: kund
Scene: A pilgrim at a southern bank performs snāna, then offers piṇḍa and tarpaṇa; pitṛs rise from a dark nether realm toward light as the tīrtha’s sanctity radiates.
Dharma includes care for the ancestral line: tīrtha-bathing and śrāddha performed rightly are said to uplift both self and forebears.
The sin-destroying southern part associated with the Nyaṅkumatī river-tīrtha in Prabhāsa Kṣetra.
Perform proper snāna there and then conduct śrāddha; the stated fruit is deliverance of ancestors from naraka.
