liṃgaṃ pratiṣṭhayāmāsa brahmaṇā lokakartṝṇā | punarvarṣasahasraṃ tu pūjayāmāsa śaṃkaram
Itinindig at itinalaga niya ang liṅga sa pamamagitan ni Brahmā, ang lumikha ng mga daigdig; at muli, sa loob ng isa pang libong taon, sinamba niya si Śaṅkara.

True devotion is both establishment (creating a lasting locus of worship) and perseverance (long, faithful pūjā).
