ये समाना इति द्वाभ्यामेतच्छ्राद्धं सपिण्डनम् । अमावास्यां तु यच्छ्राद्धं तत्पार्वणमुदाहृतम्

Transliteration

ye samānā iti dvābhyāmetacchrāddhaṃ sapiṇḍanam | amāvāsyāṃ tu yacchrāddhaṃ tatpārvaṇamudāhṛtam

Translation

Ang śrāddha na kaugnay ng ritwal na sapiṇḍana, ang pagsasanib ng yumao sa handog para sa mga ninuno, ay ipinahihiwatig ng dalawang mantra na nagsisimula sa “ye samānā…”. At ang śrāddha na isinasagawa sa araw ng amāvāsyā (bagong buwan) ay ipinahahayag na “pārvaṇa-śrāddha”.
