ततःप्रभृति लिंगस्य मर्त्त्ये पूजा व्यजायत । पुरासीच्छंकरः पूज्यो यथान्ये त्रिदशालयाः
tataḥprabhṛti liṃgasya marttye pūjā vyajāyata | purāsīcchaṃkaraḥ pūjyo yathānye tridaśālayāḥ
Mula noon, sumibol sa mga mortal ang pagsamba sa liṅga. Noong unang panahon, si Śaṅkara ay sinasamba lamang tulad ng ibang mga diyos na sinasamba sa kanilang mga tahanang makalangit.
