svāgataṃ te muniśreṣṭha saphalaṃ me'dya jīvitam | yadbhavānme gṛhe prāptaḥ pūjyaḥ sarvadivaukasām
Tirtha: Himavān (as sacred meeting-place)
Type: peak
Listener: Vasiṣṭha
Scene: Himavān, hands joined in añjali, speaks warmly to Vasiṣṭha; the scene radiates sanctity—deva-like attendants in the background, a luminous aura around the sage, and a serene snowy panorama.
Reverence for realized sages sanctifies one’s life; receiving them with honor is considered a supreme blessing.
Not a single tīrtha is named in this verse; it supports the Arbuda-khaṇḍa’s āśrama-centered sacred setting through the theme of holy visitation.
Implicitly, the dharma of welcoming and honoring an atithi (guest), especially a muni.
