ज्वालामाला सुदुर्दर्शा नारी द्वादशलोचना । सा च प्रणम्य तं प्राह तव शक्तिरहं प्रभो । शीघ्रमादिश मां कृत्ये किं करोमि तवेप्सितम्
jvālāmālā sudurdarśā nārī dvādaśalocanā | sā ca praṇamya taṃ prāha tava śaktirahaṃ prabho | śīghramādiśa māṃ kṛtye kiṃ karomi tavepsitam
Isang kakila-kilabot na babae ang lumitaw, nababalutan ng kuwintas ng apoy, mahirap titigan, at may labindalawang mata. Siya’y yumukod at nagsabi: “O Panginoon, ako ang iyong Śakti, ang iyong Kapangyarihan. Iutos mo agad sa akin ang gawaing ito—ano ang gagawin ko ayon sa iyong nais?”
