तदप्यहो चातिकष्ट हेतुना तेन मे मतम् । अयं प्रतिग्रहो घोरो मध्वास्वादो विषोपमः

Transliteration

tadapyaho cātikaṣṭa hetunā tena me matam | ayaṃ pratigraho ghoro madhvāsvādo viṣopamaḥ

Translation

Ngunit kahit iyon, aba, wari’y landas ng napakabigat na paghihirap—iyan ang aking hatol. Ang pagtanggap ng mga kaloob ay kakila-kilabot: matamis sa lasa na parang pulot, ngunit sa bunga’y gaya ng lason.
