Tirtha: Nirvāṇa-maṇḍapa (Kāśī)
Type: kshetra
Scene: The ‘Nirvāṇa Pavilion’ is shown as a sanctified hall on earth; a devotee chants a single mantra before the deity-image, while symbolic Vedic scriptures dissolve into light, indicating attainment of all śruti fruit.
Kāśī is portrayed as a concentrated field of revelation: sincere japa there can equal the cumulative merit of scriptural study.
The Nirvāṇa-maṇḍapa, a named sacred pavilion within Kāśī.
Perform japa of a single mantra before the arca (deity-image) at the Nirvāṇa-maṇḍapa.
