Skanda Purana — Kashi Khanda, Shloka 37

आश्रमांश्चतुरस्त्वेवं क्रमादासेव्य पंडितः । निर्द्वंद्वस्त्यक्तसंगश्च ब्रह्मभूयाय कल्पते

āśramāṃścaturastvevaṃ kramādāsevya paṃḍitaḥ | nirdvaṃdvastyaktasaṃgaśca brahmabhūyāya kalpate

Sa gayon, matapos pagdaanan nang wasto ang apat na āśrama ayon sa pagkakasunod, ang marunong—malaya sa mga salungat na pares at tinalikdan ang pagkakapit—ay nagiging karapat-dapat sa pagsasakatuparan ng Brahman.
