Ang pinakadakila sa mga rājarsi, sa pamamagitan ng dakilang tapas, ay ibinaba sa lupa ang (Gaṅgā) na naglalakbay sa tatlong landas, alang-alang sa lahat ng nasunog ng sumpa ni Brahmā.
