Skanda (deduced: Kāśīkhaṇḍa commonly Skanda speaking to Agastya)
Tirtha: Avimukta
Type: kshetra
Listener: Agastya (frame)
Scene: A devotee at the threshold of Avimukta, hesitating to depart; a radiant, unseen Śiva-grace (prasāda) descends like light from the Viśvanātha shrine, symbolizing ‘vimukti’ arising from staying.
Liberation is depicted as flowing from the grace inherent in Avimukta/Kāśī; wisdom lies in steadfastly holding to that refuge.
Avimukta Kṣetra of Kāśī.
A practical prescription of commitment: do not ‘tyaj’ (abandon) Avimukta—implying continued association through pilgrimage, residence, and worship.
