Skanda Purana — Kashi Khanda, Shloka 10

तमोयुक्ताः क्षपा यत्र बहुलेषु न मानवाः । रजोयुजः स्त्रियो यत्र न धर्मबहुला नराः

tamoyuktāḥ kṣapā yatra bahuleṣu na mānavāḥ | rajoyujaḥ striyo yatra na dharmabahulā narāḥ

Bagsak ang pook na yaon—kung ang mga gabi’y nababalot ng dilim, at sa karamihan ay kakaunti ang tunay na pagkatao; kung ang mga babae’y nakagapos sa magulong pagnanasa, at ang mga lalaki’y hindi sagana sa dharma.
