Gaṇas (attendants of Śiva)
Tirtha: Śukraloka
Type: kshetra
Listener: Śivaśarman
Scene: Two Gaṇas address Śivaśarman at the threshold of a wondrous realm, indicating Śukraloka where Kavi Śukra dwells as guru of Daityas and Dānavas; the atmosphere is luminous yet uncanny, with celestial architecture and subtle beings.
Even among non-deva lineages, the principle of guruhood and disciplined knowledge is honored in the cosmic order.
No earthly tīrtha is named; the verse introduces Śukra-loka within the Purāṇic cosmological narrative.
None; it is descriptive, identifying Śukra’s realm and his role as preceptor.
