Acquisition of Paśupati–Pāśa Knowledge
नैवास्य भविता कश्चिन्नासौ भवति कस्यचित् । पथि संगम एवायं दारैः पुत्रैश्च बंधुभिः
naivāsya bhavitā kaścinnāsau bhavati kasyacit | pathi saṃgama evāyaṃ dāraiḥ putraiśca baṃdhubhiḥ
Walang sinuman ang tunay na pag-aari niya, at siya man ay hindi tunay na pag-aari ng sinuman. Kasama ang asawa, mga anak, at mga kamag-anak, ito’y pagtagpo lamang sa daan—isang di-sinasadyang pagsasama sa paglalakbay ng saṁsāra.

It teaches vairāgya: worldly relationships are temporary associations in saṁsāra. Recognizing this loosens pāśa (bondage) so the paśu (bound soul) can turn toward Pati (Lord Shiva) for liberation.
By highlighting the impermanence of human supports, it redirects reliance toward Shiva as the enduring refuge. Linga-worship embodies that steady center—Saguna devotion that matures into realization of Shiva beyond all transient bonds.
