Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Dakṣiṇāmūrti
Role: teaching
It outlines an inner yogic ascent: the bound soul (paśu) withdraws awareness through key centers and pierces limiting coverings, moving toward union with Pati (Shiva) and liberation.
Saguna worship purifies and steadies the mind; this verse points to the internalization of that devotion—raising consciousness to the crown where Shiva is realized as the supreme inner Lord beyond outer form.
A suṣumṇā-focused meditation (prāṇa and awareness drawn upward through heart–throat–brow–crown), supported by Shaiva disciplines such as japa of the Panchakshara (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) and purity practices like bhasma and rudrāksha where prescribed.
