Satī’s Return to Austerity (Tapas) and Fearless Liṅga-Worship

It highlights steadfast tapas supported by a firm sankalpa (daily resolve) and the Shaiva principle that the final fruition of austerity is granted by the Divine Lord’s will—often working through cosmic offices like Brahmā.
By focusing on the Lord as capable of “assuming a form,” the verse supports Saguna contemplation—approaching the Supreme through a manifest form (including the Linga) while recognizing that the power to grant results belongs to the one Lord.
A consistent daily discipline: make a clear sankalpa, maintain regular tapas (japa, fasting, vigil, or meditation), and hold one-pointed contemplation on the Lord’s gracious bestowal of the fruit.
