The verse highlights mangala-nāda (auspicious sacred sound): purity (white conch) and reverent order (standing before Bhadra) sanctify the atmosphere, preparing the mind for devotion to Pati (Śiva) and for dharmic action.
Conch-blowing is a common upacāra that inaugurates Saguna worship—invoking auspiciousness, gathering attention, and marking the beginning of a sacred rite that culminates in focused devotion toward Śiva’s manifest form (including the Liṅga).
Begin worship with a purifying, auspicious opening—such as śaṅkha-nāda (or bell), followed by steady attention and mantra-japa (e.g., the Panchākṣarī “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) to align the mind with Śiva-bhakti.
