It highlights bhakti expressed through simple, pure offerings—wild flowers become sacred when offered with reverence, reflecting the Shaiva emphasis on inner devotion over external luxury.
The act of adorning Satī mirrors the spirit of Saguna worship—loving service (upacāra) through flowers and garlands, which is also central to Linga-pūjā in Shaiva tradition.
Flower-offering (puṣpārcana) with a devotional attitude—optionally paired with japa of “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”—is implied as a simple daily upacāra aligned with Shaiva practice.
